REVOLUTION® HIGH-SPEED DIGITAL CYLINDER PRINTER
The Revolution® is a high-speed cylindrical inkjet printer that offers full-color 360° graphics, unparalleled print quality, and speed. Ideal for manufacturers who need more flexibility in volume printing. The Revolution UV cylinder printer offers smooth, seamless graphics in vibrant CMYK with a dedicated white print head and varnish, all standard on each machine. In addition, the Revolution boasts 12 stations, automatic load/unload, an integrated pre-treatment system, and can print up to 600 parts per hour.
For high-speed plateless bottle printing and other applications, the Revolution® uses Inkcups’ patented helical printing image engine to achieve higher quality prints at a resolution of 702 x 900 dpi. Compared to single-pass printing, the Revolution® can print longer images (up to 220 mm) without stitching. The helical image engine offers interlaced inkjet droplets promoting uniform coverage and significantly reduces banding and lines in print.
Easily integrate a fully automated process into production. The Revolution® high-speed digital cylinder printer excels at automatic handling of parts from loading, to pre-treatment, to print. The addition of a production queue software, a feature that will automatically change the artwork to the next job once the prior job has completed, completely eliminates the need for an operator to devote all their time to a single machine.

PRINT INNOVATION
SINGLE PRINT STATION FOR COLOR
Printing CMYK at a single station yields consistent, highly accurate dot placement, excellent print quality, and color reproduction. Other printers use a single print station for each color, compromising image quality and color due to mechanical tolerance and registration variations.
SERVO DRIVEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
The Revolution® high-speed digital cylinder printer learns the precise angle of conical-shaped containers and stores it for future use. The print head assembly moves along the taper in an XY motion maintaining the critical gap between the nozzles and the printed surface.
AUTOMATIC LOAD/UNLOAD
Parts are automatically loaded onto a vacuum mandrel from an adjustable indexing conveyor. Once the part has cycled through the machine it is unloaded onto an exit conveyor. Automation is easily integrated into the Revolution’s® design and increases productivity because the machine is not reliant on the operator to run. The operator can then focus on higher-value operations.
AUTOMATIC PRE-TREATMENT
The Revolution® high-speed digital cylinder printer is equipped with an integrated corona or plasma treatment system to ensure parts are pre-treated uniformly and consistently to achieve superior adhesion.
THE REVOLUTION® VS SINGLE PASS PRINTING
LONGER IMAGES
Helical printing enables the ability to print longer images in a single motion (up to 8.66″.) Unlike single-pass printing, which requires stitching (a second pass which leaves a line in the print) for any image over the size of the print head (typically 72 mm).
INTERLACING
Helical printing interlaces the inkjet drops, smoothing out band lines and promoting uniform coverage. Single-pass printing will show a visible line of missing ink through the image if just one nozzle is out.
HIGHER RESOLUTION
Helical printing can achieve much higher resolution images in both X and Y directions. Unlike single-pass printing which is limited by the low print head native resolution in the Y direction.
APPLICATIONS
STADIUM CUPS
A common item that is typically printed in large volumes. The Revolution® high-speed digital cylinder printer is capable of meeting the demand for larger runs with full-color customizable graphics. This cylindrical printer for stadium cups was also designed to print the body and lip- ensuring graphics cover the entire product. Specialty pre-treatment is added to provide the best adhesion for this application.
ALUMINUM CANS
The Revolution® high-speed digital cylinder printer is a perfect fit for aluminum cans of all sizes. OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
HEAD RECOVERY SYSTEM
The Head Recovery System is capable of cleaning both Gen 4 and Gen 5 printheads. Head recovery can be performed to restore printheads that may be clogged and generally increase the longevity of the printhead. By using EBD cleaner in combination with this unit, printheads can be cleaned for further printing.
