DZL single-drum horizontal biomass steam boiler is a horizontal three-pass water-tube boiler with a chain grate system. The furnace itself is a vertical single drum structure. Smoke tubes with helical internal ribs ran along the drum facilitating convective heat transfer. On the outside of the drum, there are water wall tubes on either side of it, which serve to facilitate radiation heat transfer. The combustion unit is fitted with a light-weight chain grate, which means it can be shipped as a complete unit and be installed quickly on-site. The speed of the chain grate is electronically controlled ensuring smooth speed adjustments. The unit is also equipped with an electronic limit alert and safety interlock system. The ash/airborne particles contained in the flue gas is collected by the precipitator preventing them from being released into the atmosphere or the surrounding area. The cyclone separator is used in the first stage of the particle removal process. It creates a spiral vortex inside the chamber in order to collect particles in the flue gas. The wet scrubber is a more sophisticated device than the cyclone separator. It operates under the same principle as the cyclone separator but also makes use of water in the process. It not only collects particles in the flue gas, but also absorbs and neutralises some of the harmful gases in it, thereby reducing the overall emission of particles and harmful gases.
